Second day of Talent hunt(6/12/2021)

The first session was handled by Dr. Maya ma'am who discussed about the functions of education. it was accompanied by a session by Shafi Sir who instilled in us an awareness about the various competitive exams and how to prepare for the same. He instructed us to set a timetable everyday and strictly adhere to it. He familiarised us with a beautiful quote,

"എന്നെ ചെളിയിൽ പുതച്ചാലും ഇരുട്ടിൽ മൂടിയാലും ഞാൻ വെളിച്ചത്തിലേക്ക് ഉയരുക തന്നെ ചെയ്യും "

The afternoon session witnessed the much awaited talent hunt of the Malayalam and Social Science departments. This very enthralling programme included mimicry, mime, dance and musical renditions. The programmes were well organised and received by the audience.

The international day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking is observed every year on June 26. Drug abuse is one of the major problems faced in the country. A survey conducted among those below the age of 21 suggested that 40% of the drug addicts were below 18 years. Responding to the calls of the Kerala CM for united efforts to create a drug free world, school students in the state actively contributed their part for the significance of the day. GGHSS, Cotton hill also became a part of this mass movement. it is very important to sensitize the youth on the subject of drug abuse. it is therefore, inevitable to raise awareness about the problems in drug use and suggest ways to prevent the people from succumbing to it. EIGHTH WEEK 31/7/23 - 4/8/23 The teaching practice was extended till 11/8/23. The portion for my class is almost completed. Dr Ancy ma'am came for my general observation on 2/8/ 23. Students were taught the principle of dignity of labour as preached by Mahatma Gandhi. INNOVATIVE LESSON PLAN

My innovative lesson plan is on the topic reported speech. It was really difficult to teach the students reported speech as they had poor base in Grammar. My lesson plan incorporated different activities to capture the attention of the students.
