Teaching practice week 3 26/6/23

The international day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking is observed every year on June 26. Drug abuse is one of the major problems faced in the country. A survey conducted among those below the age of 21 suggested that 40% of the drug addicts were below 18 years. Responding to the calls of the Kerala CM for united efforts to create a drug free world, school students in the state actively contributed their part for the significance of the day. GGHSS, Cotton hill also became a part of this mass movement. it is very important to sensitize the youth on the subject of drug abuse. it is therefore, inevitable to raise awareness about the problems in drug use and suggest ways to prevent the people from succumbing to it. School-level programs should be initiated to find the root cause. There are several reasons for drug abuse among school students which includes its use out of curiosity or peer pressure. unfortunately, they fail to realize the physical, mental and social problems emerging out of it. The NCC of the school conducted an awareness program on the same and advised the students to refrain from the use of drugs for a healthy and better life. We, the trainees of MTTC, took an anti-drug use oath where the students actively participated. The students of the school also conducted a rally against drug abuse.

The classes are being taken with the cooperation of the students. "Learning the Game" is an excerpt from Sachin's autobiography. the students developed an interest in knowing more about Sachin and cricket. They are also taught to imbibe the values of a sportsperson. The activities are engaging and intended to improve the skills of the students. Their comprehension was also checked.
