Cosmos (9/02/2022)

Today we had yet another assembly conducted by physical science. The beauty of the day was enhanced by this well knit assembly. It kicked off with a prayer song and accompanied by thought for the day and pledge. News around the world was presented in a nutshell. A beautiful and enlightening video on 'Women in Science 'was shown. Bindu ma'am addressed the gathering in the absence of the principal. The association name, COSMOS, was released. They also distributed the prizes for the various programs conducted as part of the Christmas Day celebration. The assembly was dispersed after the national anthem.

The first hour was optional class where we discussed about lesson templates. The second hour was taken by Maya mam. The seminar presentations of our class ( English) started today. We discussed about the characteristics of religion in Indian society. I took the seminar on the topic ' Organized and unorganised religion'. The session was more of an interactive one as we expressed our opinions and perspectives on the topic. 
The last hour of the day was taken by George sir. We played different games which proffered us a relaxed mind and body.

There were different programs like Mega thiruvathira and other Onam games .

Teaching practice week 3 26/6/23

The international day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking is observed every year on June 26. Drug abuse is one of the major problems faced in the country. A survey conducted among those below the age of 21 suggested that 40% of the drug addicts were below 18 years. Responding to the calls of the Kerala CM for united efforts to create a drug free world, school students in the state actively contributed their part for the significance of the day. GGHSS, Cotton hill also became a part of this mass movement. it is very important to sensitize the youth on the subject of drug abuse. it is therefore, inevitable to raise awareness about the problems in drug use and suggest ways to prevent the people from succumbing to it. School-level programs should be initiated to find the root cause. Fifth week 10-7-23 to 14-7-23

I had class observation on 10/7/23. The class was observed by Meekha ma'am and she pointed out her valuable suggestions. There was a special assembly on Tuesday as part of the world population day. We had regular classes on Thursday and Friday.   Discourse construction activities were given to the students. The students actively participated in the activities.
